I have been spontaneously writing songs for several years, recording the ideas on my cell phone and then imaging that someday I’d “finishing them” and take them to the recording studio to produce them. And while the process is probably one of the most fulfilling, rewarding, exciting and f*ing fantastic feelings and experience of my life… it can be both a long, expensive and at times anxiety-inducing experience a perfectionist human who feels like it’s never quite “done” or good enough.

And I regret to inform you has led to songs I recorded more than 5 years ago to STILL not be released online, or anywhere.

I’d like that to change today.

A while ago, I had an idea in meditation, or was it a dream (I’m not quite sure) to just start letting go of my attachments to only sharing “perfect” work (which just leads to YEARS of work sitting on SD cards and hard drives) and rather sharing the moments of intimate and vulnerable self expression that I have been capturing on capture on my cellphone with the internet.

And trusting it could still bring enjoyment, healing and even touching someone, regardless of it’s “incompleteness” and “imperfection” and “poor audio quality” especially when compared to professional standards.

But WTF, I don’t wanna die with my songs, my music, my words, my wisdom, sitting in a folder on my phone or computer. And I don’t want to keep feeling pressure inside myself that I have to complete and make each one great before I share it. or make something new.

So here you go world.

This is the beginning of me sharing these diamonds in the rough.
